PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically switch channels on the basis of a communication state or the like while simplifying the configuration of each of a plurality of slave stations in a radio LAN system consisting of the plurality of slave stations and a master station for relaying packet communication between the slave stations. SOLUTION: The master station is provided with an error determining step (SP14) for determining whether a predetermined channel changing condition is satisfied or not in the master station on the basis of the error occurrence state of a packet to be transmitted from the master station to the slave stations, regardless of the error occurrence state of a packet to be transmitted from each of the slave stations to the master station; and a channel changing step (SP16) for changing a set channel to another channel on the condition that a determination result in the error determining step is affirmative.
