PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file box which decreases the number of components by using no perforated disk nor an eyelet, while lessening a manufacturing process thereby, and also which is made easy to hold in a cabinet and can be assembled from sheets alone. SOLUTION: The file box has a constitution wherein a base sheet 1, retaining sheets 6 provided on the opposite sides of the base sheet 1, a front sheet 2 and a back sheet 3 provided in continuity on the upper and lower sides of the base sheet 1, upper-side sheets 4 joined in continuity to the opposite sides of the front sheet 2 respectively, and lower-side sheets 5 joined in continuity to the opposite sides of the back sheet 3 respectively, are formed integrally. A long hole 8 for engagement is formed in the base sheet side of each lower-side sheet 5, while an engaging piece 9 to be inserted for engagement into the long hole 8 of the lower-side sheet 5 is joined in continuity to the base sheet side of each upper-side sheet 4 by the medium of a notch. The retaining sheets 6, the lower-side sheets 5 and the upper-side sheets 4 are laid on each other sequentially and the engaging pieces 9 of the upper-side sheets 4 are inserted into the long holes 8 of the lower-side sheets 5 and engaged with the back side of the lower-side sheets 5, while the lower-side sheets 5 are held down against the upper-side sheets 4 by the elasticity of the retaining sheets 6.
