It is intended to provide an agent for improving sugar, nitrogen and/or lipid metabolic errors which is a drinking water containing at least 80 mug/l of vanadium ion (V<5+>). The content of pentavalent vanadium ion (V<5+>) preferably ranges from 100 to 300 mug/l, still preferably from 200 to 250 mug/l. This drinking water is in the form of mineral water, green tea, black tea, juice, lactic acid drink or the like. The above-described agent for improving sugar, nitrogen and/or lipid metabolic errors is efficacious in lowering blood glucose level, lowering blood neutral fat level, preventing obesity, improving insulin resistance, improving gout, promoting motor functions and accelerating sweating and urination. Concerning the prevention of obesity, in particular, this agent shows highly useful properties of preventing excessive overeating while regulating excessive anorexia and inappetence. |
