METHOD OF STORING (METH)ACRYLIC ACID OR ESTER THEREOF

A method of storing (meth)acrylic acid or an ester thereof in a storage tank, which comprises regulating the concentration of molecular oxygen in the gas phase in the storage tank to 2 vol.% to 18 vol.%. The method is free from the fear of explosion and the (meth)acrylic acid or ester is less apt to suffer quality deterioration caused by coloration or polymerization. Adverse influences on subsequent reactions can be minimized.
