OPTICAL DEVICE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device having high weatherability and excellent in reliability.

SOLUTION: A lens plate 1 made of a resin has semi-columnar protruded parts 3 and 4 formed to the outer peripheral part thereof and, when the lens plates made of the resin are superposed one upon another, they are fixed so that the side surfaces of the semi-columnar protruded parts 3 of both lens sheets come into contact with each other between two semi-columnar protruded parts 3 and 4 to mutually align minute convex lenses 2. The surfaces of the semi-columnar protruded parts 3 and 4 are coated with light absorbent coating and this light absorbent coating is irradiated with light to generate heat. This heat is transmitted to the semi-columnar protruded parts 3 and 4 on the side coated with the light absorbent coating and the semi-columnar protruded parts 4 and 3 of the separate lens plate 1 made of the resin being in contact with them to melt the resins of both semi-columnar protruded parts to mutually melt and fix the lens plates made of the resin.
