<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device improving display characteristics, and also to provide a method of manufacturing the liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device having a liquid crystal interposed between a pair of substrates opposed to each other and a plurality of pixel areas formed by a pair of electrodes formed on inner surfaces of the substrates, is provided with color filters comprising a plurality of color elements and reflection layers provided corresponding to the pixel areas, and configured such that each pixel area has a part where the coloring pattern of the color filter is formed and an omission part where the coloring pattern is not formed, and that each surface area of the part where the coloring pattern is formed is different in every color element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
