PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid fiber-containing optical transmission medium which does not exhibit the connection and insertion losses of a branched connector part and yields a a uniform quantity of light emission. SOLUTION: One end of this optical transmission medium is formed into a bundle (1) of optical fibers which are bound in a circular shape, and the other end is separated into two branches each of which is independently bound also in a circular shape to form an end part (3b). In order to make the end parts (3b) of two branches function as sealing plugs, the end parts (3b) are fit into hollow cylindrical bodies (4b) of liquid fibers (4). COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
