PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inner tray that protects a case body and a cosmetic plate from damage and deformation when the cosmetic plate is attached to the case body. SOLUTION: The inner tray device is stored in the cosmetic storage concave portion 5a of the case body 5 of a compact case having the case body 5, on the top face of which the cosmetic storage concave portion 5a is formed, and a lid body covering the top face of the vessel body 5. The device is composed of a metal plate 1 filled with a solid cosmetic 2 and a thin case 3 made of a thermoplastic resin sheet, and engagement protrusions 14 are formed in the peripheral wall 12 of the thin case 3, the engagement ridges 7a of an elastic piece 7 removably engaging with the engagement protrusion 14 is formed in the portion of the cosmetic storage concave portion 5a of the case body 5 that corresponds to the engagement protrusion 14, and with a prescribed clearance provided between the peripheral wall 12 of the thin case 3, the metal plate 1 is mounted on and stored in the thin case 3.
