PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the safety of a vending machine having a cooling device that uses combustible HC refrigerant by reducing the risk of leakage of the refrigerant. SOLUTION: The vending machine includes a cooling device 6 consisting of a compressor or the like and combustible refrigerant 7; an inner fan 4; and a cooler temperature detection means 8 for a cooler 3. When the cooler temperature detection means 8 detects temperatures not higher than a predetermined temperature for a certain period of time, the inner fan 4 is determined to have failed and failure is displayed in a display part 9 to urge maintenance and repair of the inner fan 4.
