PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellular phone power off device which forcibly turns off power of a cellular phone carried in an area, where the use of the cellular phone is inhibited, with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: In the cellular phone 10 having a power off means for receiving a power off request signal and turning off the power, communication apparatuses 20a, 20b which perform communication including transmission of the power off request signal are provided in each of gates 21a, 21b to be installed in an entrance path to a prohibition area, where the use of the cellular phone is inhibited. When an owner 30 who carries the cellular phone 10 whose power is turned on and attempts to enter the prohibition area passes between the gates 21a, 21b, the power off request signal to be transmitted from the communication equipment 20a, 20b is received by the cellular phone 10 and the power of the cellular phone 10 is turned off.
