PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high sensitivity, ensuring little wear of a photosensitive layer, even in repeated operations and in gas resistance, and to provide an image forming apparatus capable of obtaining proper images which are free of image fogging. SOLUTION: A binder resin having a structural unit represented by Formula (1) (where R1denotes H or alkyl) and a hole transport agent having a triarylaminostyryl group are incorporated into a photosensitive layer of an electrophotographic photoreceptor which is used in an image forming apparatus.
