PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of forming an image having glossiness responding to the user's needs, in a transfer fixation system image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: When a color image is formed, an actuator 18 is actuated, and a pressure roller 16 is pressurized against a heat roller 12 via a paper S and an intermediate transfer belt 11 with a 1st pressure, whereas, when a monochromatic image is formed, the pressure roller 16 is pressurized against the heat roller 12 with a 2nd pressure lower than the 1st pressure.
