PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for learning English enabling a learner to visually and aurally correlate the spelling of an English word with the pronunciation of the English word. SOLUTION: The device for learning the pronunciation of an English word successively displays each alphabetic character in a character group to learn in the English word, pronounces each alphabetic character, then displays the entire English word, and pronounces the entire English word.
