PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method estimating the number of atomic nucleus of the preselected isotopes in molecular species from the NMR spectra of test pieces containing the molecular species concerned as the key substances. SOLUTION: The NMR spectra include several signal peaks consisting with the atomic nuclei concerned. Applying an inclusion and ordered criterion, a set of the ordered signal peaks is obtained and, in turn, a set of the ordered integrated values is derived from its integration. After nested inter and outer iterative cycles are implemented in each cycle, one of the ordered integrated value concerned is given a test number of atomic nuclei and, at the same time, the other ordered integrated values are redesigned adequately to round off to adjacent integers, thereby resulting in the total number of the candidates of atomic nuclei. By extracting the minimum value from the most frequent number of the candidate of several atomic nuclei, the total number is estimated of the atomic nuclei. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
