PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard disk drive equipped with an air guide. SOLUTION: The device is equipped with a housing including a base member and a cover member, a spindle motor arranged on the base member, at least a disk for data storage mounted on the spindle motor, an actuator rotatably mounted on the basemember and having a read/write head for recording/reproducing the data on/from the disk, and the air guide arranged on the surface of the cover member so as to be projected to the disk side from near the head, distributing the air flow generated by rotation of the disk and moves it toward direction of the head. The air guide has a sharp triangle shape toward the direction facing the air flow so that the air flow can be guided toward the spindle motor side and external side of the disk by dividing it. Vibration for the head is reduced with the air flow moving toward the head side for the actuator being divided by the air guide. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
