PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a playback only optical recording medium compatible with a writable optical recording medium on a recording format. SOLUTION: The recording medium is provided with unit block areas where a unit block which becomes the unit of error correction to information data is each recorded by dividing into a plurality of frames added with identification information respectively, and linking areas which are respectively inserted to a boundary part between the adjacent unit block areas and added with identification information different from the identification information.
