SOLUTION: The head rest 3 of the vehicle seat installed in an upper part of the back support seat 2 is arranged rotatably fore and aft around a rotary supporting shaft 12 relative to a pillar 8 for mounting the head rest 3 on the back support seat 2 and is furnished with the load sensing part 20 which is positioned on the surface of the back support seat 2 in the specified position below the head rest 3 and behind the back of the seated occupant and rotates in a single piece, and when the load sensing part 20 is rotated backward around the rotary supporting shaft 12 by a backward motion of the seated occupant, the head rest 3 rotates forward and supports the head of the occupant.
