PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To intermittently feed a workpiece composed of small articles one by one. SOLUTION: The workpiece extracting device is composed of: a cylindrical workpiece feeder 1, which is provided on a base 6 in an erecting state and has a workpiece throwing-in port 11 at the upper end part, a workpiece storing part 12 for storing the flake-like workpiece 9 in a state of stacking upwardly in its inside, and a workpiece discharging port 15 formed so as to pass the workpiece 9 one by one at a contact part with the base 6 at the lower end part; a workpiece discharging means 2, which is operated so as to discharge the workpiece 9 one by one from the workpiece discharging port 15 and linearly driven in a reciprocating manner by an actuator 3; the actuator 3 for driving the workpiece discharging means 2; a controller 5 for controlling the operation of the actuator 3; and a sensor 4 which detects whether the workpiece 9 exists at a prescribed position, and is formed so as to transmit the information to the controller 5.
