PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable toilet with a simple structure, capable of holding a toilet seat body at an arbitrary turning position at a set turning angle or larger. SOLUTION: The portable toilet comprises a seat part consisting of a seat plate with an opening formed at the center and a peripheral wall hanging along the peripheral edge of the seat plate, a toilet seat 5 disposed along the peripheral edge of the opening of the seat plate and having a toilet seat body 52 turnably pivoted at a toilet seat rest 51, a backrest and armrests mounted on the seat part, and a sheet turnably connected to the seat plate of the seat part. The portable toilet also has a stopper 53 in the toilet seat body 52 of the toilet seat 5 and a contact member 54 in the toilet seat rest 51 corresponding to the stopper 53. Accordingly, the toilet seat body 52 is held at an arbitrary turning position at the set turning angle or larger with the contact friction between the stopper 53 and the contact member 54 when the toilet seat body 52 is turned.
