<p>A control device for shifting between forwards gear ratio positions for use in a vehicle has: a force-operated clutch actuator to disengage a clutch (20) that is located between an output shaft (11) of an engine (10), from which a power is output normally in agreement with a depression of a gas pedal, and an input shaft (31) of a synchronized mechanical shifting gearbox (30) in which forwards gear ratio units are provided; a force-driven shift selection actuator to engage a mechanical clutch between the output shaft for the engine and one of the forwards motion gear ratio units. The control unit also has a manually operated shift lever (50) which occupies a forward mode where a shifting between the forwards gear ratio positions can be executed with operating the shift lever; a forwards gear ratio position selection device to select one of the forwards gear ratio units that is to be coupled to the output shaft of the engine when the forwards mode is selected; and an actuator device to drive the clutch actuator and the shift selection actuator to engage the clutch between the selected forwards gear ratio unit and the output shaft of the engine. The forwards gear ratio position selection device selects a lowest forward gear ratio unit when a vehicle speed that is detected by a vehicle speed sensor is lower than a given value. The forwards gear ratio position selection device selects one of the forwards gear ratio units on the basis of a change of the amount of gas pedal depression that is detected by a gas pedal sensor.</p> |
