<p>A transfer device is provided with a means for dividing a bit string received from a controller into data segments having a size which can be easily dealt with, a means for specifying, among a plurality of data segments thus divided, the data segments including individual data on an input/output device to which data is to be sent, a means for generating, by processing the specified data without a bit shift operation, a single data segment to be transmitted to each input/output device, and a means for transmitting the data segments to the input/output devices. An input/output device is provided with a means for storing template information indicating the region in the received data segment where the individual data applicable to the corresponding input/output device is placed, and a means for reading out, based on the template information thus stored, the individual data to be used by the input/output device from the data segment received from the transfer device. Thus, a data distribution system, in which no bit shift operation at the transfer device is necessary, can be obtained.</p> |
