PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device having improved appearance, even when a light source is turned off. SOLUTION: The illumination device has a switch 20 and the light source 25 turned on and off, in accordance with a switching operation. A decoration panel 21 is arranged at the periphery of front face side of the switch 20, and the light guide body 22 is arranged between the decoration panel 21 and a switch operation part 20a so as to expose the front end face 23a thereof. The light guide body 22 is composed of two members, composed of a first light guide body 23 and a second light guide body 24. The first light guide body 23 is composed of the front end face 23a which is visible as a lit area and a back-end face 23b, on which serrations having saw teeth-shaped indentation are formed; and the second light guide body 24 is arranged so that its front end face 24a faces and contacts with the back end face 23b of the first light guide body 23 having serrations.
