PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To insert a gear axis of a planet gear into a supporting hole of a ring-like rotor of a sensor to detect rotation, thereby attaining miniaturization. SOLUTION: The gear unit with a built-in sensor according to the present invention is configured to transmit the rotation of an input axis (5) to a ring-like rotor (11) of a sensor (20) via a planet gear (10) and detect this rotation of the ring-like rotor (11) by a stator winding wire (2).
