PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer which is composed of low-cost components and which can do so-called overprinting in a short period of time. SOLUTION: This inkjet printer 1 is equipped with: a carrier device which sequentially repeats the carrying of a recording medium 4 and the stop of the carrying thereof and which intermittently carries the recording medium 4 to a downstream side in a subscanning direction; serial recording heads 3, 3, ... which eject ink to the recording medium 4 when the carrying is stopped; and a first line recording head 10 or a second line recording head 12, which ejects the ink to the recording medium 4 when the recording medium is carried.
