<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inhibiting the growth of a heat-resistant acidophilic bacterium by which the heat-resistant acidophilic bacterium is prevented from growing in processed food and drink made of farm crops. <P>SOLUTION: The method for inhibiting the growth of heat-resistant acidophilic bacterium comprises adding an effective amount of a hop extract at any stage of production processes of processed food and drink made of farm crops. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
