[Also in Division F1] A toy windmill 12 on a portable base 1 drives a crank 16 through shafts 9, 15 and gears 13, 14 mounted in a gear-box 4 having transparent sides 5, 6. The crank 16 imparts reciprocating motion to a connecting rod 17 and piston 25 which draws liquid up pipe 19 from tank 22 and discharges it through outlet 26. The gear-box 4 is rotatable on a bearing 8 on a tripod 3 and carries a fan-tail 7 for bringing the windmill 12 into the wind. A splash platform 30 may be provided. |
