PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor hood for preventing generation of a rattling sound of a shutter and reducing a pressure loss by preventing flapping by outside wind. SOLUTION: The outdoor hood is provided with a cylinder part 5 provided on an inside of a wall 1 and inserted in a duct 4 communicating an inside 2 of a room and an outside 3 of the room, a main body 8 mounted on a side of an outer wall 6 and having an opening part 7 in an approximately center, a hood 9 fixed on the main body 8, and the shutter 11 having a shutter shaft 10 in the cylinder part 5, and turnably provided by pivotally supported on the shutter shaft 10. The outdoor hood 12 is so structured that when the shutter 11 is closed, an entire of the shutter 11 is housed in the cylinder part 5, and when the shutter is opened, a part of the shutter is in a position of an inner part of the hood 9. Thereby, generation of the rattling sound of the shutter is prevented and the pressure loss can be reduced by preventing flapping by the outside wind. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
