PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an echo canceller by efficiently eliminating an offset component in a voice speech capable of utilizing a voice signal whose communication band is wider than that of prior arts so as to be able to provide the stable voice speech with high communication quality. SOLUTION: The echo canceller employing an adaptive algorithm to eliminate an echo component is provided with: a pseudo echo forming means including a pseudo echo generating section for generating a pseudo echo signal and a coefficient update section for updating a tap coefficient; a transmission filter means for eliminating a low frequency component included in a near end input signal; a pseudo echo filter means for eliminating the low frequency component included in a pseudo echo signal from the pseudo echo forming means; and an echo eliminating means for eliminating the echo component on the basis of the echo component included in the near end input signal component via the transmission filter means and the pseudo echo signal via the pseudo echo filter means.
