PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of assembling a magnetic sensor, where a magnetic flux which is produced by a bias magnet penetrating through magnetoresistive elements has small biase in volume and an output waveform can be adjusted (trimmed), without requiring labor hours. SOLUTION: The assembly method is a method of assembling the magnetic sensor which is equipped with one or more magnetoresistive elements MR1 and MR2 and a biasing magnet M which produces a magnetic field around the magnetoresistive elements MR1 and MR2. A magnetic ball (not shown) is prepared, the surface of the biasing magnet M confronting the magnetoresistive elements MR1 and MR2 is kept nearly in a horizontal position, the magnetic ball is placed, in a freely rollable manner on the surface of the biasing magnet M kept nearly in a horizontal position, and a mark is put on the surface of the biasing magnet M at a position at which the magnetic ball is stopped. A positional relation between the biasing magnet M and the magnetoresistive elements MR1 and MR2 is determined, on the basis of the position at which the mark is put, and the biasing magnet M and the magnetoresistive elements MR1 and MR2 are assembled into the magnetic sensor through the determined positional relation.
