PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a matte-coated paper for printing having low white paper glossiness and resistant to the generation of rubbing stain with printing ink. SOLUTION: The double-coated matte-coat printing paper has at least one coating layer composed mainly of a pigment and an adhesive on each surface of the base paper. The outermost coating layer contains chlorite as the pigment in an amount of 5-80 wt.% on each face based on the total pigment, the amount of the dried coating material is 5-15 g/m<SP>2</SP>, the Bekk smoothness is adjusted to 100-2,000 sec by the calendering treatment after the coating and drying of the coating liquid for forming the outermost coating layer, and the 75°glossiness is adjusted to≤40%.
