A wireless A/V device comprises a wireless network management part and an application. The wireless network management part, which is connected to a network that can transmit data only after reserving a communication resource, determines events related to the wireless network and/or the status thereof. The application determines, in accordance with the foregoing determination, whether the wireless A/V device takes charge of acquiring, changing or releasing a communication resource, and then acquires, changes or releases, based on this determination, the communication resource in the wireless network. This allows communication stations to appropriately execute acquisition of communication resource or the like and smoothly communicate with each other when residing in a communication network having any structure.
