An ultrasonic welding unit with a sonic horn(46) and an anvil(50) is used to weld at least three laminate layers, of which at least two have different melting points. Elastic mounting of the anvil(50), preferably on springs(58), permits the anvil face freedom of movement(52,56) in both the vibration direction(54) and a direction perpendicular(56) to the latter. The tip of the sonic horn has a bulge(48). Independent claims are included for: a) a ultrasonic welding method for welding several laminate layers of which at least two have different, high melting points; b) a bag or pouch produced using the ultrasonic welding method. |
