The invention relates to a gymnastics band made of a flexible elastic materi al for reinforcing the muscular system, ligaments and tendons of the locomotor system, used in particular in medical therapy. The gymnastics band according to the invention comprises at least one thermoplastic elastomer material and is characterized in that it is constructed from at least two layers made of different materials and/or that it comprises at least one thermoplastic elastomer material (a) and another material (b) which is different from the thermoplastic elastomer and/or that it has recesses in the form of grooves along the longitudinal direction of the band on at least one side.
