PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stream distribution system in which a transmitting end and relay devices actively discard some parts of a multimedia stream so as to match a stream data transmission rate and a network bandwidth. SOLUTION: A multimedia stream transmitted from a sending device 10 is sent to a receiving device 16 through a network A11, a relay device A12, a network B13, a relay device B14, a network C15. Considering the arrival time of the multimedia stream to the receiving device 16 notified from the receiving device 16, the sending device 10, the relay devices A12 and B14 discard some parts of the multimedia stream in accordance with the bandwidths of the networks A11, B13 and C15. The receiving device 16 decodes the stream with no missing data. |
