PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent composition containing higher fatty acid salt(s) and excellent in stability with the lapse of days without impairing its foaming power. SOLUTION: This detergent composition comprises one or more higher fatty acid salts, one or more nonionic surfactants selected from polyglycerol fatty acid esters, and a polyoxyethylene hardened castor oil fatty acid ester.
