PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balance for easily mounting a diaphragm for preventing a turbulence material from entering. SOLUTION: The balance comprises a measuring dish 10; a dish bearing 7 connected to the lower portion of the measuring dish 10; a load detection mechanism 5 connected to the measuring dish 10 via the dish bearing 7; a lower case 2 for supporting the load detection mechanism 5; an upper case 3 that is installed opposite to the lower case 2, covers the load detection mechanism 5, and has an opening 3d; and a diaphragm 8 for preventing a turbulence material, such as water and dust/dirt, from entering by covering the opening 3d of the upper case 3. The diaphragm 8 comprises a penetration hole 8a in which the dish bearing 7 penetrates in an adhered state; bellows 8b provided at the outer periphery of the penetration hole 8a; and a base part 8c that is provided at the outer periphery of the bellows 8b and is adhered or crimped to the upper case 3 of mounting.
