PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably provide predetermined removal strength even when a pedal bracket made of synthetic resin is used. SOLUTION: In the retreating prevention device for the vehicle pedal, an upper end of the pedal bracket 12 fixed to a dash panel 16 is connected to a plurality of connection plates 30 of a support member 28 integrally fixed to a vehicle body side member 26 through a connection pin 34, and notch 36 is provided on the connection plate 30. When the dash panel 16 is displaced to a driver's seat side as shown by an arrow A in Figure by a large load input from a front side of the vehicle, it is broken at a part provided with the notch 36, thereby, the upper end of the pedal bracket 12 is removed from the support member 28 and is displaced along a lower end surface 38 of the support member 28, and attitude is varied so as to make a bow as shown by an arrow B in Figure.
