PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording method whereby a bodily sensing time of the user after the user makes a printing start instruction before a recording medium is discharged can be shortened at the time of printing the recording medium substantially non absorptive to ink, and to provide an inkjet recording apparatus. SOLUTION: In the inkjet recording method at the inkjet recording apparatus which forms images on the recording medium by discharging the ink and a liquid by an inkjet method onto the recording medium, the operation of discharging the liquid by the inkjet method to a surface of the recording medium is executed outside the process of a printing/discharging operation after an image formation start command is received before the recording medium with the images formed is discharged.
