PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development apparatus for readily matching the mutual phases of a plurality of agitating members, and to provide a process cartridge and a method of assembling the development apparatus.

SOLUTION: The development apparatus 4 attached to an electrophotographic image forming apparatus 100 includes a support members 27a attached to at least any one of a developing frame body 25 or a developer-storing container 41; agitating gears 55 and 56 supported rotatably on the support member 27a and transmitting the drive force to an agitating member 42; a first phase determining mechanism for determining the phase of the support member 27a and a plurality of the stirring gears 55 and 56; and a second phase-determining mechanism for determining the phase of the agitating gears 55 and 56 and the agitating member 42.
