<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate connection with the other device, to transfer data after connection is completed while maintaining safety and to easily synchronize shared data. <P>SOLUTION: Same IDs are recorded in a recording medium 21A and a recording medium 21B. PC131 and PC132 on which the recording media 21A and 21B where the same IDs are recorded are mounted are connected by performing a connection processing, and they are set in a state where data can be transferred. When they are set to the state where data can be transferred, a list on data recorded in the recording mediums 21A and 21B is exchanged between PC131 and PC132. PC131 and PC132 request opposite sides to supply data which is not recorded in the self-recording media 21A and 21B among data mentioned in the exchanged list. A synchronous processing in which recorded data are set to be the same is performed on the recording media 21A and 21B.
