<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a curtain type airbag device suppressing shocks by an advancement preventive member when a head of an occupant collides with a part in a vicinity of a boundary between an upper end of a pillar garnish and a lower end of a side part of a roof lining by a collision of an automobile running at a speed as low as an airbag is not inflated nor developed. <P>SOLUTION: In the airbag device, an advancement preventive member 61 to prevent advancement of an airbag 43 to a back side of a pillar garnish 11 when the airbag 43 is inflated and developed into a cabin in a curtain shape is erected from an inner panel 51a of a roof side rail to a back side 11b of an upper end part 11a of the pillar garnish or to a back side of a side lower end 31a of a roof lining below the airbag 43. When a load is applied from the inside of the cabin to a part in a vicinity of the boundary between the upper end 11a of the pillar garnish and the side lower end 31a of the roof lining, the advancement preventive member 61 is bent or turned upwardly from the erected state, but not bent or turned in the other direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
