<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a submersion detecting device precisely determining submersion of a vehicle, and a vehicular emergency escape assisting device. <P>SOLUTION: In the vehicular emergency escape assisting device 1, a navigation device 5 determines that a present position of a vehicle is impassable by a vehicle and a place covered with water, and an active control signal is outputted from a microcomputer 11. When immersion is detected by a submersion sensor 7 and a submersion signal is outputted, driving circuits 15, 17 to which these signals are inputted drive motors 9, 19 to break a windshield 21 or open a door window. Especially, the device 1 determines that the vehicle is submerged, only when the navigation device 5 determines that the present position of the vehicle is impassable by the vehicle and covered with water and when the submersion sensor 7 detects the entry of water into the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
