PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder-coating device for preventing occurrence of poor masking and permitting good powder coating to parts to be coated and a method of manufacturing stators of rotary electric machines. SOLUTION: The powder-coating device 100 has a work rolling mechanism 140 for holding a stator 200 in a rotatable way, a powder nozzle 160 spraying a resin powder 190 toward the outer peripheral surface of stator 200, masking caps 110 and 120 arranged so as to oppose to both end surfaces of the stator 200 in the axial direction and give a draft resistance of a clearance on the side of the nozzle 160 smaller than draft resistances of other clearances and a compressed air supplying device 150 for supplying compressed air to be discharged through the clearances.
