PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the heat resistance and durability of an optical fiber coil sensor. SOLUTION: The optical fiber coil 10, spirally wound with the polyimide coated optical fiber 1, is stored and fixed in a stainless case 50. The case 50 is filled with an inert gas and sealed hermetically. Thereby, the optical fiber coil functions stably for a long time, for example, as a vibration sensor, because the polyimide coating does not decompose due to oxidation, even under high temperature.
