PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for fixing and joining together contacting adjacent ends of consecutively installed blocks, such as a sidewalk board, consistently, firmly and quickly. SOLUTION: End faces 2 which are adjacent to each other, are positioned and joined together. In joining the end faces 2, 2, which are in contact with each other, a recessed surface 2a and a projection 8, which are formed on the end faces 2, 2, respectively, are fitted together by recess-projection engagement at the position where the end faces 2, 2 are rotationally symmetrical to each other. In fitting together the recessed surface 2a and the projection 8, a joint margin 16 may be formed between the adjacent end faces 2. To that end, the extent of the projection of the projection 8 is made greater than that of the recession of the recessed surface 2a, so that the joint margin 16 is provided with a ready-made joint material 17.
