[Also in Division H4] A system whereby high-frequency signals may be transmitted over power lines comprising a capacitive potential divider C 1 , C 2 connected to earth by way of an inductor L 2 , the potential divider being connected to the output circuit by means of an inductor L 1 and transformer T, has the high-frequency signals applied to a terminal HF connected between the capacitor C 2 and the inductor L 2 together with a protective spark gap F which is connected across the capacitor C 2 only so that upon breakdown of the spark gap F due to an excessive voltage across the divider the terminal HF is not connected to earth. |
