<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an optical test for optical paths, without having to remove the existing filter from the user's side and perform high-resolution measurement near the user's home. <P>SOLUTION: The system comprises an optical transmitting apparatus 2 placed on the part of a communications equipment building 1; an optical coupler module 12 which inputs and outputs test light to and from an optical fiber 4 of an optical fiber cable which connects a user's side optical transmitting apparatus; an optical test apparatus 5, which is placed on the part of a communications equipment building 1 and takes the optical fiber 4 as its object to be measured; a portable measurement instrument 14, which is replaceable with the user's side optical transmitting apparatus; a termination filter 13a, placed immediately in front of the user-side optical transmitting apparatus, allows communication light to pass through, and cuts off the test light; and an in-building filter 11a, which is placed immediately in front of the optical transmission apparatus 2, allows the communications light to pass through, and cuts off the test light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
