Process for production of a workpice containing several metals in an atmosphere at a temperature and oxygen partial pressure such that for at least two metals at formation of at most one metal oxide or mixed oxide is promoted and formation of other oxides is suppressed. An independent claim is included for a heat transfer agent, especially for a fuel cell system or a fuel cell pile.
