PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens drive unit capable of performing stable driving even at a high band, and an information recording/reproducing device. SOLUTION: The objective lens drive unit is provided with an objective lens 1 for converging light having an optical axis in one direction, a lens holder 2 for holding an objective lens 1, and a focus coil group 40 wound so that a winding center axis becomes parallel to one direction. The focus coil group 40 includes an inner focus coil 3a, and an outer focus coil 3b wound on the outside of the inner focus coil 3a, and thrust generated by the inner focus coil 3a is set larger than that generated by the outer coil 3b.
