PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the time synchronization of processing between a monitoring device and a device to be monitored, and to enable the bi-directional information communication of the monitoring device and the device to be monitored through the Internet without making it necessary to change the setting of a fire wall. SOLUTION: This agent driving type monitor system is provided with a device to be monitored and a monitoring device connected through a network. A monitoring agent regularly or irregularly notifies the monitoring device of normal operation confirmation 309 in the device to be monitored or the request message of an alert 311 when any abnormality is caused.
